Middle of March, really?

Here we are, almost at the eve of St. Patrick's Day and my last post was about Christmas Day.  Shame on me!  Oh well, let me focus on the present and future instead (ok, maybe a little on the more recent past too.)  Some noteworthy things that have happened in 2010 so far:
January-the big Match Day came and for those of you who don't know, we are moving to Naples, FL this summer!  Woohoo!  This is kind of what it is like there...

Basically paradise.  You can find me at the beach anytime during the next two years!

February-the even bigger day called FIRST BIRTHDAY of a certain little man came!  Yep, our little Jace turned 1!!!  We had a colorful little party complete with family, a few friends, and a few Mexican treats of course.  Now we have an energetic toddler whose favorite activities include hanging on anything that he can reach, getting muddy and wet, and showing off his gorgeous smile and bright eyes.

Chris & Jace with hugemongous candle and cake.

March-My parents finished their mission in February so we went to see them in St. George at Melissa's house.  Every member of our family was there except my very own Mighty Molar aka Chris.  He was stuck in Florida taking Florida Boards (more on that subject in a sec).  We had a FANTASTIC time there with everyone.  A little short, but hopefully we will see everyone again later this summer or fall.  Jace was a bit overwhelmed by the Flores crowds but he came around after many hours of playing with Maki & Audri, kicking a soccer ball around the Ramirez house, and many coaxes to go outside with "Ma" and "Pa."  It was so fun to see all my nieces.  They are all so beautiful!!!  It was great to hear about my Mom and Dad's mission in Oaxaca; they did a great work of love.  Love them all.

At Brick Oven.  Thank you, St. George, for housing a new one.

After our early Easter egg hunt.

I returned early to be back for the clinical part of FL Boards.  That was this weekend and it was great to help out and see our molar friends on that important day.  It was a very stressful and dramatic day for most.  For us, it was a day of miracles above all.  :) Chris got his scores today and HE PASSED!  {Insert Hallelujah chorus here}.
We are so grateful that is successfully completed and now we look forward to the coming months with a sparkle in our eye and a skip in our step.  (What is that saying?  Couldn't remember it.  But you get the pic right?)
I guess that is it for now since this is already a bit ridiculously long.  I should try to update more often...I should.  :)  But for now, good day to all of you!!!
